The International Women’s Day celebrations at AITS, Kadapa was vibrant and an inclusive event, featuring various activities to commemorate and empower women towards gender equality and financial inclusion . The women’s day coordinating committee at AITS, Kadapa have organized and conducted various outdoor games like Throw ball, Tennikoit and Cricket, indoor games like Personality Development Programme, Anthyakshari, and Dumbcharades etc., for girl students and women faculty members separately.

On the day of celebrations, the Dias was graced by Management of AITS, Pricipal, Chief guest, R&D Director and Co-ordinator.

Chief guest Smt. Vedala Chandra Vadana, District Consumer Commission Member, delivered an inspiring speech about women’s rights and legal awareness. She explained how women should be aware of consumer protection laws and encouraged students to stand against injustice and make use of legal systems to protect their rights. She also highlighted the importance of education in empowering women to become confident decision-makers in society.

Prof. P. Padma, Registrar (I/c) of Yogi Vemana University, spoke about the importance of women’s participation in higher education and leadership roles. She motivated the students to focus on academic excellence and develop leadership qualities. She also emphasized that education plays a crucial role in shaping confident and independent women who can contribute to national development.

Ms. A. Lakshmi Tulasi, Regional Head of Union Bank of India, shared her professional journey in the banking sector. She explained the opportunities available for women in banking and finance and encouraged students to develop financial literacy and career-oriented skills. She also spoke about the importance of determination, discipline, and hard work in achieving professional success.

Dr. K. Sasikala, Obstetrician and Gynecologist from Sree Lakshmi Hospital, delivered an informative speech about women’s health and well-being. She highlighted the importance of maintaining physical and mental health, regular medical check-ups, and awareness about women’s health issues. She encouraged young women to prioritize their health while balancing education, career, and family responsibilities.

The Principal, Dr. A. Sudhakar Reddy garu addressed the gathering and spoke about the significance of celebrating International Women’s Day in educational institutions. He highlighted the achievements of women in various fields and encouraged female students to believe in their abilities and pursue their dreams with confidence. He also appreciated the efforts of the organizers for conducting such a meaningful program.

Dr. P. Sri Chandana, Assot Prof and Head of the Civil Engineering Department, also addressed the audience. She spoke about the role of women in technical education and engineering fields.

Dr.T.Sowjanya garu, Coordinator of Women’s Day Committee explained about the theme of International Women’s Day 2026.

Later prizes were distributed for winners followed by felicitating the chief guest and guest of honor, cultural activities, and snack distribution.

The Women’s Day coordinating committee thanked chairman Dr.C.Gangi Reddy garu, Vice chairman Sri. C.Yella Reddy garu, Executive Director Sri. C. Abhishek Reddy garu and Principal Dr. A.Sudhakara Reddy garu for their encouragement and support in conducting the event . We also appreciate Teaching and Non-Teaching staff for their presence and Contribution in making this event a grand success.
