Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is headed by Dr. M. Murali Mohan Naik with 17 years teaching experience. Under his leadership, the department is strengthened by well experience and highly qualified teaching and non- teaching staff. The department of Mechanical Engineering had its inception on 2010 with an initial intake of 60 students. The department gradually flourished, nourishing young minds by the team work of dynamic and experienced faculty members who paved the roads of success.Further in the year 2012 the intake was increased to 120 students. with the aided “state-of-the-art” Laboratories and Computational facilities in all core fields of Mechanical Engineering in the year 2014, the department expanded its horizon with a PG course in Thermal Engineering with an intake of 24 seats.

The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members; many of them are with Ph.D. degree. The faculty members actively engage in research and constantly publish papers in International and National Journals. The department regularly organizes technical workshops for the faculty members to expose them to emerging areas. The department has the state of the art facilities for various laboratories, classrooms to support e-learning and department library. The department has a well-equipped centralized workshop facility which caters the needs of various departments. Guest lectures and industrial visits are periodically arranged for the students to supplement their curriculum. We strive for all round excellence in students, encouraging them in all extracurricular activities.

The department boasts of its alumni placed around the globe in MNC’s, and Public sector companies setting new standards in life and work. Considerable portion are with higher studies in prestigious institutes at home and abroad.

The strength of the department lies in its dedicated, skilled and experienced faculty drawn from various industries and reputed institutes. The labs in the Mechanical Engineering department are the ideal places where students prepare for the future. We do provide the best working condition with all the latest gadgets.
