NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY 2K23

Ever since 1987, our country has been celebrating the National Science Day on 28th February to commemorate the discovery of the “Raman Effect” by one of the renowned Physicist of India- Sir CV Raman. This year, the theme was “Global Science for Global wellbeing”, As a part of its enterprise to conduct a wide range of extra-curricular programmes and activities to sensitize the students on social, cultural and ethical issues, the Department of Science and Humanities in association with IIC AITS, Kadapa had organized a technical project exhibition. Students from various under graduate and post-graduate courses had participated enthusiastically in this event.

The department invited Dr. M. Srinivasa Achary (Principal Scientist & principal of Agriculture Polytechnique, Utukuru, Kadapa) as the guest of honour in this event, where he delivered a talk on the aspects of science and technology grown up in industries.

Mr S. Md Hakeem, Assistant Professor, formally welcomed all the participants gathered for the celebration. It was inaugurated by Dr. A Sudhakara Reddy , AITS, Kadapa and Dr. K N Shasikumar, Humanities and Science department, had addressed the gathering with their stimulating thoughts on Science & Technology. Dr. M. Srinivasa Achary spoke on the importance of National Science Day and the life and works of noble laureate Sir C V Raman. Prof. P.V.S Murali Krishna reflected on how Science and Technology should walk hand in hand to solve the current societal problems. Prof. P. Sri Chandana, HoD civil department had highlighted the importance of Materials science. Dr. M. Venkata Ramana, HoD of AI & DA Department highlighted on how the generation of new ideas is possible through the organization and celebration of such events. More than 100 participants from all departments are attended for this event. Later on, in this event 16 technical projects are presented in “Project Exhibition” by al departments students.
